girl in red albumdebuterar släpper singeln “Serotonin”

girl in red albumdebuterar den 30 april med  ‘if i could make it go quiet’ och idag släpps singeln “Serotonin” via skivbolaget AWAL!  girl in red har skrivit alla låtarna på albumet och producerat tillsammans med Matias Tellez. Singeln ”Serotonin” är samproducerad med GRAMMY-vinnaren och producenten FINNEAS. 

”Serotonin” är en hudlös och personlig låt där sångerskan/låtskrivaren/producenten Marie Ulven – som är hennes riktiga namn – gräver i sin själ och sitt psyke till ett mjukt suggestivt beat som fastnar. Låten är det mest slagkraftiga hon hittills skrivit! 

Om albumet säger Marie: ”if i could make it go quiet is an attempt to learn what it’s like to be human; to deal with the scariest parts of myself; to live with the pain of knowing i’m only flesh and bones; to be angry, broken and unforgiving yet still able to wear my heart on my sleeve; i’m shedding light on the darkest parts of my mind and i’m letting everyone in; if i could make it go quiet is me simply trying to understand what the fuck is going on.”

För Marie Ulvens stora fanskara (1.8 miljoner följare på Instagram & 2.7 miljoner Spotify följare and counting…), är albumet ett förebud och en början på ett världsherravälde som girl in red har styrt mot sedan slog igenom med ‘i wanna be your girlfriend’ 2018 och låten hamnade på The New York Times’ top 10 tracks of the year. Sedan dess är hennes låtar uppe i mer än 1 biljon streams och hon har kommit att bli en inspirerande ikon för en hel generation unga lyssnare. girl in red är med på BBC Sound of 2021 och hyllas av NME, Vogue, Dazed och DIY.
